A lovingly restored 18th century barn located in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside at the foot of the magnificent Howgill Fells.
Six restful bedrooms are designed with your comfort in mind: luxurious beds and pure wool bedding; freestanding baths, walk in showers and Bath House toiletries in every bathroom; unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside all around.
Enjoy a full afternoon tea on arrival before exploring all the area has to offer; we are perfectly placed for breath-taking fell walks, excellent cycle trails and sampling outstanding local produce and crafts. Return to sit on the terrace or beside the fire, depending on the time of year, and enjoy the stillness and tranquillity of this very special place.
In the morning we offer freshly brewed Bed Tea brought to your door before serving breakfast around a communal dining table. On offer:
local specialities such as wild boar bacon and venison sausages; fresh farm eggs served however you like them; homemade bread with jams from Rosebud Preserves; a selection of loose-leaf teas and, with a nod to our time spent in India, freshly made lassi.
We live in the neighbouring farmhouse, so guests have full use of the house with its spacious lounge, garden terrace and large, secure boot room.
