Manoir Laurette is a beautiful 19th century country house located in the charming hamlet of Lorette on the border of two departements; Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne. France’s principal wine region and the self-titled ‘Garden of France’ respectively. The picturesque bastide towns of Monségur and Duras are just minutes away. St Emilion is a 45 minute drive, Bordeaux an hour and even Toulouse ‘la ville rose’ is within striking distance for a day-trip. Closer to home are the interweaving waterways of the canal du midi and the majestic River Garonne, perfect for a bike ride. Or simply set out with no itinery through fields of vines and sunflowers to discover hidden treasures of brocantes, medieval villages, markets and cafes.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom is individually styled, featuring antiques, paintings and objet d’art lovingly collected from as far afield as Vietnam and as close to home as the local brocantes on our doorstep. Kingsize beds with handmade cashmere mattresses and White company linen, gowns and complimentary slippers all come as standard. Bathrooms have organic bath products, free standing baths and showers with sparkling Victorian chrome fittings.
Breakfast
We’re passionate about food at the Manoir and offer our guests the chance to enjoy a full à la carte breakfast served in the ‘folk art’ dining space overlooking the garden or in winter nestled by the log fire. All our food is wherever possible locally sourced, home grown, made or laid by our own hens! Our wide selection of organic tea is from Award Winning company ‘Joe’s Tea’ and our coffee is blended locally in small batches. Pastries and bread are collected as the sun comes up and served fresh each day. Local fruits, jams, nuts and honeys are on offer in addition to our much loved Home made Granola and farm yogurts of cow and goats milk.
