Breakfast at Julesy’s BnB is as flexible as it is varied, using the very best seasonal local produce available in Malta. Some guests find it hard to leave the breakfast table, as it is so much fun.
Julesy’s BnB location is ideal, being based in the heart of Malta’s historic Three Cities, just across the Grand Harbour from Valletta, Malta’s Capital City. We believe this part of the island is some of Malta’s best. As most of our guests agree, this is the “true” Malta.
The views from our terrace are stunning, boasting nearly 360 views across the island. History seekers too will be enthralled with no end of archeological, war, and the sheer resilience of the Maltese people dating back as far as Neolithic times. Above all else the culture is warm and friendly, and Malta itself is safe and easy to travel within.
Although some parts of the house, we are told, date back to the 16th Century, most of the house, we can decipher are from the 18th Century. It is a typical Maltese House of Character. Features include solid Maltese sandstone walls throughout, exposed wooden beams, two authentic Maltese Box Balconies, and a very interesting well that is now our beautiful wine cellar. There is also a magnificent central staircase that takes you up each floor right through to the sunny roof terraces.
The most recent modern upgrade occurred in 2007, which included the addition of a lift, reaching over 4 floors. Both our Lascaris & Zondadari Suites have their own private lift access which is perfect for the less mobile. These Suites also have access from the central grand stairwell.
The Cotoner & Manoel Suites feature their own private Maltese balcony, the rooms are bright, cheerful and elegantly appointed with Maltese artwork from our local art scene. Walking into these rooms makes you feel instantly happy and relaxed.
The kitchen is at the heart of this house, and is where our breakfast is currently served each morning. Julie also holds her cooking classes from this kitchen on Fridays and Saturdays.
