SELF CATERING FINLAYSTONE BARNS – 3 BARNS FOR UP TO 3 OR 6 GUESTS
We have two open plan Barns (East and West Barns) suitable for up to three guests with a double bed and a sofa bed, and a new Family Barn which can accommodate up to six people (enclosed double bedroom, separate double or single and a sofa bed). The Family Barn is disabled friendly in design and is on the ground floor. It is ideal either as a premium space for a couple, two couples or a family. The properties are all finished to a high standard.
Finlaystone Estate is a privately owned estate overlooking the Clyde estuary with 10 acres of formal gardens and extensive woodlands to explore.
The estate also has a small shop, a tea room and ranger service and is home to the Clan MacMillan Centre. Visitors can however easily access the many local places of interest ranging from Glasgow to Loch Lomond all within easy driving distance.
For horse lovers, the world class Ingliston Equestrian centre is nearby and there are several world class golf courses within an hour such as Gleneagles, Royal Troon and Loch Lomond. It is a great base for any trip to the West of Scotland for business or pleasure.
ACCOMMODATION
The East Barn and West Barn are similar in size and layout. They are within an oak framed building which combines traditional craftmanship with modern standards of comfort. Each Barn is accessed by an external oak staircase.
The interior open plan space is fitted out to a high standard with all the facilities one would expect. It has a fully fitted kitchen with microwave oven and nespresso coffee machine and washing machine and a wet room with shower. A wide screen TV is provided and wifi access is available. And although the thick insulation and/or radiators will keep the place warm, a log burning stove and wood is provided for added ambience and will keep you cosy whatever the weather.
There is a double bed in each Barn which we are confident you will find comfortable. We can also provide an extra bed should you require it.
The Family Barn is on the ground floor of the Oak framed building with exposed oak posts and beams. With its larger space it has a large bathroom and walk in shower, an enclosed bedroom with kingsized bed, a separate sleeping area with a double or single bed. A sofa bed can also be made up providing flexible space for up to 6 people. It has a fully fitted kitchen with microwave oven and nespresso coffee machine and washing machine and dryer. A wide screen TV is provided and wifi access is available. The toilet and shower are disabled friendly with easy access.
The estate is open to the public in the daytime but the visitors are not intrusive and at night time the place is wonderfully quiet.
