Our lovely, fully renovated, stone country house, lies in the hamlet of A Lavandeira. The original house was built on this site in 1691. Casa Girasol is just a five-minute walk along a quiet country lane to the vibrant village of Ferreira de Panton, where there are numerous local shops, café-bars and amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool. We are very close to the marvellous scenic routes along the breath-taking Canons de Sil. 15 minutes by car takes you to Monforte de Lemos, and 45 minutes to Orense. We are also only 2.5 kms from the start of the Winter Camino trail.

Our neighbours are a small vineyard, which produces some of the Ribeira Sacra’s famous wines, and a 12th century convent that is still at the heart of our ancient village. There, you can take a tour, and buy traditional cookies, baked by the resident nuns.

Our accommodation is homey, comfortable and stylish. Carefully designed to recreate traditional Galician charm, while providing modern convenience, we offer a self-contained two-bedroom apartment, with its own entrance. This ensures our guests both independence and privacy. The bedrooms are spacious, and are furnished with hand-made four-poster beds, hewn by a local craftsman from seasoned chestnut wood.
